VINTAGE MERCURY OUTBOARD OUTSIDE RAM TRIM AND TILT COMPLETE UNIT WORKING COND.

Description

The system used for many years on the mid to large size Mercs. Just removed from a 1973 85hp Merc with a bad engine. Complete with dashboard 3 button switch. Fully tested. Works great and at full lift strength with no leaks. Has the typical sun rotted the rubber jacket on the hydraulic hoses common to these older units. They are not leaking and I have seen them run this way for years.  I don’t see why you couldn’t use bulk length  heat shrink tubing to give them a new protective covering. The power unit and switch electrical wire connections will need to be splice connected. Check Mercury wire diagrams for proper connections. If your motor already has the external lift assist shocks this should be all you need to make it power T&T. I may have to disconnect the hoses to ship it in a reasonably priced box size.
