Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st re-release of William Wyler's Oscar winning classic,
The Westerner

This movie
concerns a self-appointed hanging judge (Brennan in an Academy Award winning role) in
Vinegaroon
,
Texas
who befriends a saddle tramp (Cooper) who opposes the judge's policy against homesteaders.
This
poster is believed to be from a re-release of the film in Belgium in the late Forties or early Fifties,
but
I tend to think that it is from the film's first Belgian release since I have never seen any earlier release poster for this title.
It is ln very good, slightly trimmed condition and features striking artwork that is unique to this Belgian release poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium  14" x 19"
CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border has remnants of a former theater snipe. A few minor tears, pinholes and some paper crinkling in surrounding white borders. A tax stamp affixed in lower right of poster. Overall slight yellowing to the paper.  Artwork is vivid and completely intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 24 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
