Crawford plays a French woman in German-occupied France who hides an American pilot and attempts to get him safely out of the country. Here is perhaps the best image of Joan Crawford painted by Ercole Brini. Brini gives Crawford the full run of this poster and he paints her somewhat softer here. Images of Paris and the occupation loom in the background. The poster was somewhat fragile and so we had it linen-backed. This was the only film that Joan Crawford made with John Wayne. Philip Dorn was a Dutch actor who was seen in several European movies prior to the outbreak of World War II.
