Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the first post-war re-release of Alfred Hitchcock's Academy Award Winning romantic psychological thriller,
Rebecca
. This was
Hitchcock's first American project, and his first film under contract with producer David O. Selznick
.
It was nominated for 11 Oscars and won for Best Picture of 1940.
This poster is from the first re-release of the
movie in Belgium after the end of the war in Europe (probably early 1950's). It is mounted on linen and features the same artwork used in the original Belgian release poster from the mid Forties. It is in very good condition with beautiful
artwork that is unique to this Belgian release poster which seldom comes up for sale or auction.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.25" x 22"; 16.25" x 24" (on linen)
CONDITION:
Very Good Untrimmed Condition on Linen. Prior to mounting this poster on linen, it was untrimmed, folded in half and there were a few crinkles in the center portion. Some overall yellowing to the paper. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
