Here is a rare and beautiful original Belgian movie poster from the first release of one of Laurel and Hardy's final films,
The Dancing Masters
. In this movie Stan and Ollie play two bumbling dance instructors who help an awkward inventor sell his new invention and facilitate his romance with a pretty socialite.
This poster is from the 1st release of the film in Belgium shortly after the end of WWII, probably 1946, since it is printed on the reverse of a wartime ordnance map. It is also printed in the smaller immediate post-war format in order to conserve paper which was in very short supply.
The wonderful artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster which seldom (if ever) comes up for sale or auction. This is the only copy of this poster that i have ever seen.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium, 12.25" x 16.75"
CONDITION:
Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has remnants of a former theater exhibition snipe. A few minor tears and small stain spots in the surrounding white borders. Quite a bit of paper crinkling throughout the poster. Printed on the back of a map.  Slight yellowing to paper. Artwork is completely intact.  Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 7 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
